Two New Wines Featured In
Holland America's Wine Series

Adorned with classic images of Holland America Line poster art, the wine series underscores the long tradition of fine wines aboard the line's premium cruise voyages.
The 2004 California Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2005 California Chardonnay were hand crafted by the wine making team of Wente Vineyards, working closely with the Holland America Line cellar masters.
California's oldest family owned and continuously operated winery, Wente Vineyard produces wines noted for their distinctive characteristics borne from vineyard blocks that are meticulously farmed and sorted into small lots to ensure their quality. Wente Vineyards is located in the Livermore Valley 20 minutes from the San Francisco Bay.
“When we planned our commemorative wine series, we wanted to offer our guests a wine crafted for today’s palettes that also paid homage to Holland America Line’s long tradition of culinary excellence,” said Richard D. Meadows, executive vice president, marketing, sales and guest programs. “This series offers two distinctive wines adorned with labels that fondly salute our long heritage as a premium cruise line.”
The commemorative wine also is part of the “Sommelier Package,” a new onboard offering that also includes a standard wine tasting, a premium wine tasting, dinner at the Pinnacle Grill, wine navigator’s choice of five bottles, and a wine-related gift set.
